Lessons In Grooming From Teenage Years

My mind often wanders to happy teenage ties when I’m at a loose end.  There is a saying that you shouldn’t go back to favourite haunts, and sometimes this is true, especially if you’re trying to escape from a sad episode engulging you.  I have found though that this isn’t always the case and on a recent trip to the small village I grew up in, I rediscovered some of the lovely old fashioned things I took for granted way back.  The little family pharmacy where I was Saturday and holiday girl is still there but now swallowed up by a major chain.  It still sells beauty products, the very same makes I used to try out and convince customers to buy – having wonderful skin and pretty strawberry blonde hair, I was a natural for sales.  I’m forever grateful to the original owner who taught me much in my very formative years.
